Bully Official Trailer #1 - Weinstein Company Movie (2012) HD
This year, over 5 million American kids will be bullied at school, online, on the bus, at home, through their cell phones and on the streets of their towns, making it the most common form of violence young people in this country experience. The Bully Project is the first feature documentary film to show how we’ve all been affected by bullying, whether we’ve been victims, perpetrators or stood silent witness.
Jenna Bowers-Bryanton was 15 years old when she decided to end her life in January of 2011.
She was harassed so much at school that she missed a lot of classes and eventually withdrew. But the bullying didn’t stop there. She was also bullied on social networking sites like Formspring and Youtube, where she posted videos of her singing.
They told her she had no talent, that she was ugly and that she might as well go kill herself because she was no good anyway. The day before she was supposed to go back to school after Christmas she hung herself in the family’s garage.
My time has come, and so I’m gone. To a better place, far beyond. I love you all as you can see. But it’s better now because I’m free.
These were the final words of Cassidy Joy Andel, 16, who posted this on her Facebook November 4, 2010. Soon after she hung herself.
According to friends she was outgoing and full of life. She was an athlete, played piano and taught Sunday school. However, in the months before her death she received endless texts, IMs and Formspring attacks saying she was fat and would never get a boyfriend, among other hurtful things.
Rafael Morelos was 14 years old. On Sunday, January 29th 2011 Rafael hung himself. His friends say he was openly gay and was bullied because of it.
He told his friends that he got shoved and punched in the face in the locker room. He was tired of people saying that his little brothers would follow in his footsteps and be gay too.
Rafael had reported an incident earlier in the year and the principal claimed that they took “appropriate action”.
Rafael’s death is the fourth reported suicide in January among gay teens that has been attributed in part to anti-gay bullying.

Christopher Howell called his mother on September 8, 2011. He told her he loved her, he loved his father and said he was going to kill himself. Frantic, his mother rushed home, but it was too late. Her 17-year-old son had taken his own life.
Friends and family say Chris, a Grade 12 student, had a troubled time in school. They say he was bullied and taunted. Before Chris ended his life, his father said he told his mother he couldn’t deal with it anymore. His father also said the bullying had been going on since grade school. Chris was always looked at as being different because he had Tourette’s syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Everyone is different. No one should be made fun of for it.
Rest in peace Chris, you’ll always be remembered. <3
